VoiceBox Expands its Automotive Business
Company Adds Four Major Car Brands
Bellevue, WA March 3, 2012-
VoiceBox Technologies, the award-winning provider of patented Contextual Voice Technology, announced today that it has added four major car brands to its expanding automotive business: Magneti Marelli, Chrysler, Dodge and Maserati. Current brands using VoiceBox include Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Fiat and Renault.
"We are proud to join these great automotive brands to the VoiceBox family," said VoiceBox's CEO Mike Kennewick, These brands further assert the Company's foreign language experience, as cars will be shipping in 10 major European and 3 Asian languages.
VoiceBox's innovative voice technology provides the more natural, conversational experience in the industry. A leader in the automotive telematics market, VoiceBox helped pioneer the Connected Car vision, which allows users to access information located 'in the cloud', such as up-to-date traffic information. Unlike other solutions, the Company's Intelligent Hybrid solution doesn't require users to know what information is on or off board, as do competitive solutions, where users are asked to know what is located 'in the cloud' and use fixed commands: "Services.... Traffic.... Seattle." In contrast, VoiceBox product users can simply say, "Hey, what's the traffic in Seattle."
The Company's next innovation includes integrating its Personal Assistant interface, which provides a personalized experience that goes beyond the current of the single-question-single-answer paradigm popularized by Siri, to a more interactive, proactive human-personal-assistant experience.
"As our technology becomes increasingly relevant in new markets, we are bullish on our growth potential in the automotive market, which has such a critical need for effective voice products," commented Mr. Kennewick.
