Brian began his career 36 years ago as a systems programmer developing mainframe operating systems.

In 1972, he joined Glaxo SmithKline as the mathematician on the team that developed Tagamet™ - the first $1B/year ethical drug. The leader of the team, Prof. Jim Black, won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1988.

From 1974 to 1980, Brian designed and led the delivery of very large database applications as Project Director for Danish Systems Engineering Company, whose major clients included the European Space Agency and the governments of Kuwait, Emirates and Peru. In 1980, he co-founded Oracle Corporation Europe and managed it for 10 years. He was the recipient of the Oracle MVP award in 1986. In 1990 Brian began investing in, and helping in the start-up phase of, a number of US software companies. He was an early investor in Saros Corporation, and was instrumental in selling Saros to FileNet Corporation in 1996.

Brian has been an independent Board Member of Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH), the market leader in Supply Chain Execution Software since 1998. He has been a Board Member of Pilgrim Software since 2001. Pilgrim, a Tampa-based software company, is the leading provider of Compliance Software for the Life Sciences. In addition to Board duties, Brian is also very active in bringing these companies to Europe.
